A pair of early 19^th century French 18 carat gold spectacles, Paris 1809-19 by Jean-Baptiste-Francois Lebel (reg. 16 July 1774)

Hinged arms and ear supports, bright cut engraved decoration to the arms of an anthemion below a fleur-de-lis. Lenses deficent. Marked throughout with third standard mark, large excise gold mark, later French guarantee mark.
