Opaque pigments heightened with gold on paper, the large vertical composition depicting the blue-skinned God Krishna with a gem-encrusted golden headgear in the shape of a peacock's tail caught in a tender embrace with two gopis, the deity and his right counterpart looking straight at the viewer, each figure marked with a golden nimbus sanctioning their holiness and devotion, the attires and adornments typical of courtly entourage more than cowherds and village folks, set within white rules and silver, dark blue and bright red concentric borders, 34.5cm x 24.7cm.
