Opaque pigments heightened with gold on paper, the large horizontal composition depicting the blue-skinned Hindu god Krishna with his beloved partner Radha seated on a high throne, the couple surrounded by female attendants with white fly-whisks, the landscape around them animated by the presence of several animals including peacocks, a symbol of companionship, and monkeys, a symbol of playfulness, 31cm x 42cm.
