Ottoman Provinces, late 18th - 19th century
Of hexagonal shape, painted in cobalt blue, turquoise, bole red, and manganese purple with black outlines (cuerda seca technique) on a white ground, a floral-inspired geometric motif to the centre framed within a thin, white hexagonal border, a band of stylised split palmettes to each corner framing rosette and budding stems in between, two further thin borders in cobalt blue and white, 19.5cm at the widest point.
