Qajar Iran, second half 19th century
Each of typical pyriform shape, resting on a ringed stem on a gently splayed circular foot, rising to a tall tapering neck with a bulging ring just below the everted circular rim, each surmounted by a spiky conical stopper, the exterior of each bottle decorated with stylised gold-damascened bouquets, floral stems and foliage scattered against a densely engraved ground with floral sprays and fern-like bushes, the tallest 42cm high.
