PROPERTY FROM AN IMPORTANT PRIVATE EUROPEAN COLLECTOR
Qajar Iran, late 19th - early 20th century

Of square shape, each painted in cobalt blue, turquoise, yellow and black, comprising three with figural decoration comprising a musician in the wilderness, a lady sitting under vine trellis surrounded by lush bunches of grapes, and two attendants pouring wine into a tall ewer; the fourth with a dragon being attacked by a spotted feline predator, possibly a jaguar, all against bold yellow ground and within thin cobalt blue and turquoise borders, each 22.5cm x 22.5cm.
