***This copy has a presentation inscription on the front endpaper ‘Ursula Lena on her 21st birthday November 1940 With good from Raymond, Phyllis, Jocelyn & Margaret Priestley’. The name of Sam L. Priestley Nov. 1909 has been crossed through but appears in vol. 2 on the front endpaper. This copy has to vol, 1 pasted to the rear paste-down an original photograph of ‘The cubicle occupied by Priestley and Murray’, and to vol. 2, an original portrait of Priestly pasted to the front paste-down. There are further contemporary newspaper and cutting and magazine cuttings pasted in both volumes.
