The soft raspberry-red field with multicoloured scrolliung floral and leafy vine around cusped arabesque medallion with pendants containing various palmettes and floral meander enclosing bold floral centrepiece. Light blue palmette and floral spandrels. In rust border of bold polychrome palmettes, arabesques and angular floral tendrils between rosette and key-pattern beige stripes. Outer arrowhead and plain stripes, approx: 224cm. x142cm. Very good type with well drawn design and well balanced colours. Ths rug has very slight localized wear to the pile in few small palces, otherwised good pile. Selvages slightly fraying in few places, small split on cord at one side. Ends with slightly fraying on guard stripes. Very fine weave, approx: 8 x 8 knots per sq. cm. In general this rug is in good usable condition. Despite imperfections it still retains a classic look.
