An early 20th century Chinese export silver bowl, Canton circa 1910, marked Xie Chang, retailed by Wang Hing

Qing dynasty. Of rounded circular form with a scalloped rim, upon a collet foot. The body with cast and applied decoration of a crab among reeds, a grasshopper among dahlia, a bird next to peach blossom, a bird sat below an unidentified plant, a bird by iris flowers, and a bird upon a flowering prunus branch, some heightened with flat chasing. Marked underneath with artisan mark 協昌 (XIE CHANG), numeral 90, and retailer’s mark WH.

Height – 6.4 cm / 2.24 inches
