A mid-19th century Brazilian silver snuffers tray, Rio de Janeiro circa 1850 by Francisco Duarte Graça

Emperor Dom Pedro II (1831-89). Of everted rectangular form upon four lion paw and acanthus bracket feet. The embossed and pierced edge of ribbon tied fruiting vine below a scalloped edge. Marked to the field edge with assay mark of Porto (V.2571) and FDG.
