A George V sterling silver gilt inkwell, London 1919 by Sebastion Garrard

In the Régence style, of hexagonal form upon a stepped and bracket footed base, the panelled sides with chased decoration of foliate scrolls and beaded strapwork, against lattices and mattted grounds. The hinged domed cover similarly decorated with chased foliate scrolls surmounted by an amorphous finial. The interior with recess for a glass inkwell (deficent). Fully marked to base and part-marked to lid.
