An early 20th century Chinese export silver dressing table box, Shanghai circa 1930, marked Gui Tang, retailed by Tuck Chang and Co

Republic period. Of circular form with a domed pull off lid. Engine turned bands, the lid with a vacant rectangular cartouche. Gilt interior. Marked underneath with artisan mark 桂棠 (GUI TANG), and retailer’s mark TUCKCHANGCO.
