France circa 1920, maker's mark obscured
An early 20th century French 800 standard and guilloche enamel pill pox

Of circular form with a hinged lid and engine turned decoration. The top with guilloche enamel scene in earthy tones depicting possibly Penelope and Telemachus from Odyssey. Stamped with boar's head and obscured maker's mark to the base.

Length - 4 cm / 1.5 inches
