1 bottle of Chateau Lafite-Rothschild 1982
Label has come loose in storage, but remains with the bottle.
From the cellar of a regular buyer and consignor.
Strong ruby garnet, good depth of colour, orange reflections, broader water rim. Fine floral bouquet of heart cherries, delicate orange zest, liquorice and blackberries, floral notes of lilies, a hint of cedar wood, porcini mushrooms and chocolate. Complex on the palate, juicy and elegant, extract-sweet fruit, present tannins, some black tea, slightly astringent, has the robust core of all good 82s, has depth, dark chocolate, but also nuances of red fruit on the finish, very good length, excellent further ageing potential.
