A William IV sterling silver vinaigrette, Birmingham 1836 by Nathaniel Mills
Of rectangular form with a chased edge, the gently domed lid centred with a rectangular cartouche engraved with initials J.S in gothic script, other wise with engraved quatrefoil lattice work, the underside with a rosette. The gilt interior with hinged pierced grill of foliate scrolls. Fully marked between lid and base, makers mark and lion passant only to grill.
