A collection of approx. 90 carte-de-visite albumen prints of illustrated portrait copies, each measuring 110 x 65mm, primarily singular portraits published by French studios, of figures from history. Subjects include the King of Portugal, Empress Eugenie, Louis II King of Bavaria, King Leopold I of Belgium, Marie Antoinette, Duc de Nemours, Ferdinand Maximilien Archicud d'Autriche, Marie-Louise-Auguste-Catherine Queen of Prussia, the Emperor and Empress of China, the Empress of Austria, Duc de Chartres, the Shah of Persia, the Duchess of Orleans, Emperor and Empress of Russia, the ex-Queen of Naples commanding the troops, Napoleon III, Napoleon I, Louis XVI, and others. Most titled with subjects name either recto or verso, many by Neuredein Paris; other studios include Charlet & Jacotin, Paris; Hering, London; Orange, Edinburgh; Desmaisons, Paris; Franck, Paris; and others.
