Ayeen Akbery, or, The institutes of the Emperor Akber, first edition, vol. 1 & 2 of 3 vol. only, original boards, rebacked with cloth, modern paper labels, uncut, slight foxing to title pages, Calcutta, 1783 & 1784 (the date on the second volume misprinted to read 1684)

***All three volumes were printed at the Hon'ble Company's Press.

The Ain-i Akbari is a Persian text on the workings of the Mughal empire under Akbar written by his historian by Abul Fazl (1551-1602). This English translation was made by Francis Gladwin, a founding member of the Asiatic Society of Bengal.
