A FREE-BLOWN PURPLE AND WHITE MARVERED GLASS BOWL
Possibly Egypt or Syria, 12th - 13th century
Of compressed globular shape, resting on a flattened circular base with a mildly concave centre, rising to broad shoulders and a reinforced circular rim, the purple ground enhanced with a white spiraling pattern, 11cm diam. and 8.3cm high.
