Of octagonal shape, resting on four bracket feet on each corner, the exterior fully painted in gold and polychrome enamels, the lid featuring a central figural scene with a courtly gathering, the crowned prince seated in the centre and holding the hand of one of his courtiers, framed within a decorative band of lush roses, blue flowers, thick foliage and birds, the sides of the casket with pairs of crowned and winged angels amidst rosettes and branches of prunus blossoms, all against light blue, green and turquoise grounds, the interior with turquoise enamel, 8.5cm x 15.5cm x 12.5cm.
