A Staffordshire toy poodle, circa 1840-50

A Staffordshire toy poodle, circa 1840-50, modelled lying outside its kennel decorated in apricot with a pink roof, on a rectangular base with rounded corners, together with a pair of Staffordshire poodles in the manner of Derby, circa 1830, each on their hind legs with floral encrusted shrubbery, with five others toy poodle groups. (8)

Found in 'Dogs in English Porcelain' by Dennis G Rice, colour plate 119, under 'Unidentified Staffordshire Factories'
