A SILVER-INLAID SPOON AND FORK
Seljuk Iran or Anatolia, 11th - 13th century

A composite cutlery tool combining a drop-shaped spoon on the head with a two-pronged fork on the lower end, the spoon decorated with a silver-inlaid duck or stylised bird against spiralling vegetal scrolls, the back of the spoon with two vertical lines falling in a diagonal with the handle in the middle, 19.5cm long.
