A graduated pair of late 18th century French provincial silver chocolate pots, Strasbourg circa 1785 by Jacques-Henri Alberti (reg. 1764)
Each of baluster form upon three scroll feet with faceted junctions, the curved short spouts at a right angle to turned baluster wooden handles. The hinged lids surmounted by a swivelling disc sections surmounted by artichoke finials, all raised by a scroll thumbpiece. Each engraved with a British crest of a pelican in her piety. Each fully marked underneath and to the lid. (2)
