A pair of Staffordshire porcelain poodles, circa 1835-50

A pair of Staffordshire porcelain poodles, circa 1835-50, unclipped except for the front legs, lying recumbent on a lilac shaped rectangular base, moulded elaborately with gilt scrolls, together with another Staffordshire poodle with lion clip, on similar unpainted base. (3)

Found in 'Dogs in English Porcelain' by Dennis G Rice, colour plate 94 and 95, under 'Unidentified Staffordshire Factories'

Height 5.5cm x width 5cm x depth 11cm
