A late 19th century Chinese Export silver pepper pot, Canton circa 1880 retailed by Kwan Wo
Qing dynasty, of cylindrical form upon a slightly spreading circular foot, the screw thread gently domed lid with drill pierced holes surmounted by a pyriform finial. The body with embossed decoration of a village scene populated with figures including those sat under trees and carrying water buckets, all with houses and fir trees. Also, with a shield shape cartouche engraved with initials BY in cypher. Marked underneath with retailer’s mark KW twice only.
