An Alexander I early 19th century Russian 84 zolotnik silver tray, Moscow 1819 by Semyon Dementiev (active 1820-61)
of circular form with an ovolo slat pierced edge with a die-rolled rim. The field flat chased with foliage to the centre and a band of foliate scrolls. Marked to the edge with makers mark CД (Postnikova 2865) and assayer’s mark of Mikhail Mikhailovit Karpinsky (active 1800-24).
