A PAIR OF CHINESE WOOD 'LEAF' TRAYS.
Qing Dynasty, 19th Century.
Each shallow tray carved as a large leaf issuing from a curved petiole, with a small frog, a snail and a seedpod placed on the top, one with a shuangxi character, 17.3cm long. (2)
Provenance: English private collection, acquired in China in the early 20th Century, thence by descent to the present owner.
