A HAMADAN RUNNER, WEST PERSIA

The light beige field with fine floral lozenge lattice around three linked and serrated lozenge medallions, each with angular panel centrepiece. Blue floral spandrels. In triple flowering vine border. Outer plain stripe, approx: 9ft. x 2ft.8in.(274cm. x 81cm.) Bold appearance and well drawn design more associated with Serab type. This runner has slight localized wear, down to knot collar in few places. Selvages original, fraying on cord wool. Ends with short fringes. In general this runner is in decent usable condition. Very good furnishing size.
