Fine Rugs & Carpets

  Lot 2

A BOKHARA RUG, TURKMENISTAN

The fox brown field with three colums of linked floral guls devided by smaller guls. In linked serrated lozenge narrow border between kotchak and chevron stripes. Outer barber-pole and plain stripes. Hooked lozenge skirt at each end, with slight loss, approx. 170cm x 118cm. Very good example for this type with well balanced colours and design. This rug has slight wear to the pile down to knot collar in places. Salvages rebound with touches of old repairs on edges. In general decent usable condition.
