An early 20th century Anglo - Indian unmarked silver footed bowl, Madras dated 1908

Raj period, of rounded circular form upon a spreading pedestal foot. The sides with embossed decoration in the swami style of Hindu deities within shaped vignettes, reserved with chased scroll work and rosettes. The foot with a chased band of acanthus leaves. The upper band engraved American Polo Tournament Nov 08, Capt Hill. Capt Wall, Mr Cane, Mr Skewes-Cox.
