A CHINESE GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF AMITAYUS.

Qing Dynasty, Qianlong period.

Seated in dhyanasana position, his hands held upon his lap in dhyana mudra, wearing jewellery and simple robes, his hair piled in a topknot and with traces of cold painting, all backed by a detachable flaming mandorla set behind him in a reticulated rectangular pedestal with a drapery covering the open front, incised with a nine character Qianlong mark, 20cm H, 1.2kg. (2)
