A CHINESE CANTON GILT-FILIGREE FIGURE OF A BUDDHA.

Qing Dynasty, 19th Century.

With the head and hands of solid metal, the remaining part of the figure in delicate gilt filigree, standing, wearing long-sleeved robes and elaborate shoes, framed by a flaming mandorla set behind him, raised on a layered lotus stand set on an octagonal base with four blossoms embellished with rubies, with a wood stand and a glazed case, 20cm H. (3)
