A mid to late 19th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver pepper, Cutch circa 1870
Raj period. Of inverted baluster form upon a short cylindrical base, the screw thread lid with an openwork border of stylised acanthus leaves and applied pellets surmounted by an ovoid finial. The lobed body with chased decoration of foliate scrolls and rosettes.
