Host your own private dinner party in the sublime splendour of Chiswick House, under the magnificent ceiling of the Domed Saloon. This soaring octagonal space lies at the heart of the house. The apex of Burlington’s grand design, it is also known as the Upper Tribunal, reflecting the Roman classical order he so admired. Designed to impress, in his day it was the first room that visitors entered via the portico, and the focal point of his legendary parties and receptions.

In this glorious space, beneath the Roman coffering derived from the ancient Basilica of Maxentius, and under the eye of the Roman busts affixed to the walls, you and your guests will dine in sumptuous splendour just as Lord Burlington did nearly 300 years before you, surrounded by eight impressive old master paintings from the Earl’s original art collection, including an early copy after Sir Anthony Van Dyck of King Charles I and Henrietta Maria, with Prince Charles and Princess Mary.

Enjoy drinks and canapés, followed by a 3-course dinner for 16 in a setting to remember, served up by our exclusive catering partner Food Show, whose energy, passion and creativity are reflected in their stunning menus and dedication to locally sourced produce.

Your party will be seated amongst elegant floral arrangements and, in the manner of the dilettanti of the day, in all likelihood the hardest decisions awaiting you will be choosing which canapé to start with first, before proceeding in suitable style to your starter, main course and dessert.
