Of typical shallow rounded shape, resting on a thin straight foot, with a gently everted rim, the white stonepaste body painted in cobalt blue pigment, the decoration and shape reminiscent of and imitating Chinese porcelain rice bowls, the interior plain except for a chrysanthemum in the centre, the exterior with butterflies, stylised Chinese literati garden scenes and rocks, peonies and vegetal sprays, inventory stickers to the base, 18.5cm diam. and 8cm high.
