A MODERN UNMARKED INDIAN SILVER HUQQA BASE
Northern India, late 20th century
Of typical shape, resting on a stylised, gadrooned, and fluted circular splayed lotus base, surmounted by a pyriform stem with a tapering neck, and a compressed rounded head and furnace at the top, the openwork lid decorated with several drooping chainlets, and incised with stylised foliage and floral motifs throughout, on the side of the base an angular, curved spout surmounted by a miniature duck, 40cm high, 1386gr.
