An early 20th century Chinese Export silver pedestal bowl or comport, Shanghai circa 1910, marked Liang Sheng, retailed by Tuck Chang

Qing dynasty, the bowl of circular form with scalloped rim upon a pedestal foot formed as a Chinese dragon upon a domed circular base with cavetto edge. The sides of the bowl with embossed decoration of various panels; birds within bamboo, Chinese dragons amidst clouds, fruiting peach trees and figures within a village. The base with chased decoration to resembles waves. Marked to the foot rim with artisan mark 良生 (LIANG SHENG). with retailer’s mark TC.

Diameter – 16.2 cm / 6.35 inches

Weight – 423 grams / 13.6 ozt
