Qing Dynasty, 19th Century.
The flattened oval bi disk with rounded edges carved in high relief with a dragon naturalistically coiled through the hole, with attendant clouds, 6.3cm long.
Provenance: an important South African private collection, acquired between the 1960s and 1980s, thence by descent to the present owner.
