Of octagonal shape, resting on a flat base, with a convex lid, the exterior divided into eight decorative sections, each one incised and chased in relief featuring a cascade of stylised vegetal stems or floral buds against a ring-punched ground, interspersed amidst friezes of inverted palmette leaves, 9.5cm x 13cm at widest points, 471 grams.
