A mid-20th century Burmese unmarked silver tobacco jar or tea caddy, circa 1950
of cylindrical form with a pull-off lid, the lid with an embossed elephant within textured bands. The sides embossed with four figural panels within shaped arches interspersed with foliate scrolls. The panels formed as a ship, two oxen pulling a cart, an elephant with rider, two oxen pull a plough, all above a band of stylised acanthus leaves.
