Subjects include portraits of her Majesty Queen Victoria; Prince Albert; Prince and Princess of Wales; a group portrait of the Royal Family of Denmark; Prince Leopold; Prince Beatrice; Lord Elgin, Lord Shaftesbury; a portrait of politicians Richard Cobden and John Bright sitting together at a table; Charles Dickens; Giuseppe Garibaldi; Princess Maria Clotilde of Savoy and Prince Napoléon-Jérôme Bonaparte, cousin of the Emperor Napoleon III; including photographic reproductions of portraits of several Civil War generals, including Jefferson F. Davis; G.E. B. Stuart; John b. Hood; Stonewall Jackson, among others.

Housed in a full brown Morocco leather album with gilt edges and brass clasps.
