PROPERTY FROM A PRIVATE GERMAN COLLECTION
India, early 20th century

Comprising a compressed bulbous-shaped brass huqqa base, engraved with tall palmette leaves running from the foot to the middle of the neck, two bands of petal-shaped decorative motifs around the rim and neck's ring, 21cm high; and another brass huqqa base, of compressed globular shape, resting on a tall splayed foot, rising to a ringed tubular neck, engraved with jagged, zig-zag motif and diagonal ribs to the body, 24.5cm high.
