An unusual cased George V sterling silver and spinach jade cigar ashtray, London 1912 by William Hornby

Of table form, square raised upon four legs with wooden inserts, the dished interior with four cigar rests, the corners and base inset with panels of spinach jade. Traces of gilding throughout. Fully marked underneath. In a fitted green leatherette case, centrally opening, branded for Kendall and Co, Paris.
