Opaque pigments, ink and pencil on paper, the vertical portrait depicting a plump religious man, possibly a mullah, with a long dark beard and a dark brown turban, knelt on an embroidered yellow floorspread, resting against a large pink bolster with floral patterns, holding a manuscript in his hand, possibly a Qur'an, mounted, glazed and framed, 31.5cm x 27.3cm including the frame.
