A COLLECTION OF SMALL GOLD JEWELLERY ELEMENTS AND A SILVER RING
PROPERTY FROM AN IMPORTANT EUROPEAN PRIVATE COLLECTION
Iran, Anatolia and Egypt, 10th - 15th century

Comprising three gold signet rings, one engraved with a blessing, another with auspicious numbers, the third plain, the largest 2cm diam.; a miniature gold dove, possibly dating to the Fatimid period and once a pendant or part of a pair of earrings, decorated with granulation and gold folding techniques, 2.1cm x 1.3cm; a gold earring with granulation and filigree work, 3cm high; and a silver signet ring with Kufic calligraphic inscriptions, 1.8cm diam.
