The Cycloidotrope or The Invisible Drawing Master. Lantern slide device for tracing geometric designs on smoked glass disks. Rotating and reciprocating gears and levers move stylus point over rotating smoked glass disk. With 3 blank glass disks, complete with fitted box

The Cycloidotrope mechanism was patented by Alfred Pumphrey of Birmingham of 19 October 1885 and Professor Pepper of the Royal Polytechnic was one of the first to use it.
