Note: The original version of this bookcase was designed by Mackintosh for Miss Catherine Cranson, who lived at Hous' Hill, Glasgow. The bookcase was designed for the drawing room of the house and the original piece is found in the National Galleries of Scotland. This piece relates to the table in the sale which was produced by Cassina, as the finish is similar, but there appear to be no marks to confirm who made this bookcase.
