The abrashed blue field with overall multicoloured open herati design. In broad ivory border of linked multicoloured angular floral panels between rust palmette vine and plain stripes, approx: 6ft.8in. x 3ft.11in.(204cm. x 119cm.) Very good example from Bijar weaving. Unusual bold border. Well blended colours. This rug has slightly corroded brown and touches of light wear to the top pile in places, barely visible, otherwise good pile. Woven on wool foundation.
