of cushion form, rectangular with incurved sides and corners with a moulded gadrooned rim, the centre engraved with an impaled coat of arms within a shield shape cartouche. Fully marked to the reverse and with scratch weight No 2 21:14.

For Robert Vyner (1717- 1799) who married Eleanor Anderson (d.1811) on the 5th May 1768 Robert Vyner of Gautby in the County of Lincolnshire, is the son of Robert Vyner (c.1665-1777) and his wife, Margaretta Style, the daughter of Sir Thomas Style, the 2nd Baronet of Wateringbury (1624-1702) in the County of Kent and his second wife, Margaret Twisden (d.1718).

Eleanor was the widow of Francis Anderson of Manby (1711-1758). It is unclear exactly which Eleanor Carter she is as she has variously been noted as being the daughter of Thomas Carter of Bossavern in the county of Denbeigh or that of William Carter of Bossavern in the county of Denbeigh and Sarah Price (daughter of Robert Price and Martha Bulkeley), or the daughter of Thomas Carter, of Redbourne in the County of Lincolnshire. Robert was admitted to St John's College, Cambridge on the 3rd April 1738 and later became a Member of the Inner Temple on the 18th November 1741 and served as Member of Parliament for a number of seats: Okehampton, Devon [1754], Lincoln [1774, 1780], and for Thirsk [1785, 1790].
