A late 19^th century Anglo – Indian silver mug, Cutch circa 1880

Raj period, of waisted cylindrical form with applied rims. The C scroll handle with chased acanthus thumbpiece, and to the handle with rosettes. The body with deep chased decoration of foliate scrolls and rosettes, between bands of acanthus leaves between beading. The front with a vacant shield shape cartouche. Gilt interior. The centring point scratch engraved with a character.
