An early 20^th century Japanese unmarked silver cigarette box, Yokohama dated 1914

Taishō period. Of rectangular form with a pull off lid, wooden interior, and base. The lid and front with an embossed chrysanthemum, all against a spot hammered ground. The interior of the lid with an applied plaque reading “Eclectic Competition, Rokkosan Aug 1914 won by M. Bell”.
